Ever since this summer, I've been haunted by David Pajo's performance of The Pretenders' "2000 Miles" at the gathering to remember Steve Abini. It was a warm summer Saturday, the wind blowing in hard off the lake. The gathering was a memorial and a celebration and it was a joyous melancholy that I feel like I'm still processing.
The whole weekend featured incredible performances, many of them brought me to tears, but this song.

Things Fall Apart: Punk Planet, Year 12
