I've taken a very finnicky, very me, approach to making this site. It's not the easiest route, but it's mine. Here's how I've done it.
This site is built by hand using the 11ty static site generator, which I donate to on a monthly basis.
Styling is done using Tailwind.css
A few interactions are built with the Alpine.js javascript framework
This site is hosted through Netlify and deploys automatically when a build hits the main branch in Github
The site's theme was built almost entirely from scratch by me but originated with the Eleventy Tailwind Template from Jeremy Daley.
The headline font for this site is Cooper Black, originally designed by Oswald Cooper in Chicago in 1922
The body font is Gelica designed by Dave Rowland Type
All fonts are served via Adobe Typekit
All content is managed as flatfiles, there is no CMS
All blog posts and much other writing on this site is written in Markdown
This site uses Tinylytics for lightweight analytics.
In the last 30 days it has been visited times. You can see all my stats here.
