I decided it was finally time to update the look and feel of the Metablog—and hopefully to start using it for more than links I find interesting. A couple things of note: instead of a giant sidebar, I’ve now broken out links to projects I’m working on/worked on, as well as an extended about page. There’s now a questions page, if you’re inclined to ask me something. Twitter, instead of living on the sidebar, will now be integrated into the regular flow of the blog.
As I write this, The Atlantic has just released a story revealing that I was in fact @MayorEmanuel, the profane parody Twitter account that shadowed the Real Rahm Emanuel’s campaign for Mayor of Chicago before descending into a Time Vortex the night after the election. Questions about the identity of the up-until-now anonymous author have been raging in the media for months. Staying hidden is really exhausting.
If you’re thinking about writing a story or blogging about this, my good friend Daniel X. O’Neil took a couple photos of me this morning and has Creative Commons Licensed them on Flickr. Friends are awesome.
If you want to chat, you can find me on Twitter @dansinker.
Thanks to the many thousands of you that made this so much fucking fun.
